I-ACTIVSENSE TECHNOLOGY EXPLAINED
I-ACTIVSENSE technology is available on the vast majority of new Mazda vehicles, but many wonder exactly what it is. In simple terms, i-ACTIVSENSE is a device designed to keep Mazda drivers safe by anticipating and then preventing collisions.
With i-ACTIVSENSE, our Mazda is able to detect potential hazards and react quickly. Several technologies can be found in Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE system. Let's take a closer look.
The first interesting system of i-ACTIVSENSE is adaptive cruise control. It keeps a safe distance to the vehicle in front of you by reducing the speed or applying the brakes if necessary when cruise control is activated.
i-ACTIVSENSE also includes automatic braking technology with collision detection. The latter monitors the road in front of you and is able to apply the brakes when necessary to avoid an accident with a vehicle that brakes suddenly.
The other interesting element of SKYACTIV technology is lane prevention departure. The latter is able to recognize when your vehicle is about to deviate from its trajectory. If this is the case, it can react by correcting the trajectory to keep you going in the right direction.
There are several other i-ACTIVSENSE technologies including Blind Spot and Rear Cross Traffic Monitoring. To learn more about i-ACTIVSENSE, contact us today at Grand Portneuf Mazda.
